Lots of choice
Avoid them - Faulty goods, faulty service. My fiance and I went into Southcoast living on the 8th Jan to see what tumble dryers they had. A woman came up to us and showed us around and eventually we saw one we liked - and Indesit condenser for 149 with 3 months warranty. We purchased and took it home. When we got home we found it didn't work. It tumbled but didn't dry (wouldn't heat up). We tried various times to get it working, turning the dial and pressing the one other button it had on it. Eventually we gave up and decided we would take it back for a refund. Due to my fiance and my work schedules we couldn't take it back until two weeks later. On the 21st Jan we called up and said we'd like to bring it back for a refund. The gentleman we spoke to said we would only get a credit note as we had paid in card which seemed very odd. But we didn't want to argue down the phone so we went back to the store. We were greeted by the same woman who had sold it to us and my were we amazed at how poor her customer service was.First thing she said to us "why didn't you call us sooner?", we explained we didn't need to as we were bringing it back ourselves "most normal people call us...seems strange". I said we aren't normal people and I don't care what other people do. I asked if they had any certificate to prove it worked when it was given to us, she said "it will have a sticker on it somewhere", I asked what kind of sticker to which she said "it will have been PAT tested", I said that only confirms it won't kill us, not that it works properly "yes I know that I've worked here long enough thank you!" I told her to stop being rude but she just stood there arrogantly smiling at us.She said that they will have to get it checked by an engineer and then if it's faulty then we can have a refund. The engineer would take two days to check it. We had no choice so I left it with them. In the meantime I had contacted citizens advice who recommended how to go about things should they not improve. Two days later I received a text saying that there was nothing wrong with the machine!!I called up and spoke to the charming lady who said "there's nothing wrong with it, perhaps you just had it set on low heat". Yes and perhaps I didn't even plug it in!! Ultimately she said "if you really want a refund then you can have one". She could have just said this from the start.Went back in on the 25th and she refunded it straight to my card without saying a word. The worst part is, had she not been so rude then we may well use them again, but no apology, sarcastic and arrogant tone and lies mean we won't be going back again and I advise others to avoid also.
