Outstanding beautyThe views here are absolutely breathtaking!We walked from the car park, across the top and then down the other side and walked along the beach back to the car park.It was so peaceful.We found seeing all the different layers on the cliff face very interesting.It's well worth a visit! Great for dog walkers.
Lovely views, great walk. However, inconsiderate dog owners can ruin the experience, having to watch where you're walking and avoid dogs running around detracts. Best to visit on quieter periods.
One of our top 5 family walks. Parking is nice and cheap in the winter. So many walking choices and lovely sandy beaches after.
The whole area is just beautiful no matter what the weather. Great walks can be taken on top of the head towards East Cliff and South Beach. Hengistbury Head Beach is truly lovely and views of the Isle of wight and ferry traffic into Poole can be seen. A great walking area with or without dogs, and a most enjoyable time can be had by the whole family on the beaches. We achieve parking at Hengistbury Head car park, which has pathways directly to the beach. Strongly recommended.
As a visitor from birth, the beach hut is my go to place to be on any day in the summer. The information and cafe at hengistbury head are there for you in the cold or hot weather. The Noddy train is a great way to provide a transportation service without cars... Yes NO CARS! Climb into your carafe and take in the beauty, but don't forget to wave!
