its great to see such a shopping center where everything is close by and withing walking distance from the cargreat shopsfantastic shopping opportunities if you look closer you will find a bargain at some shop at some point :-)i have found out that some shops are closing down forever which is a shamebut i still love this shopping center and it is a great deal of an entertainment for adults but unfortunately there is no place for children to be entertained a part from the shopping
Shopping centre with a lot of the big stores and some restaurants on site too. As it was around Christmas time it was fairly busy. Plenty of space for parking and good public transport to get too and from here.
Good place to while away a few hours shopping, whether that is your weekly good shop or satisfying your retail list, it is all great. Places for tea coffee and lunch dinner are also catered for here. So there is something for everyone.
I avoid like the plague. Occasionally I have to brave shopping here, under duress. Currently the car park situation is farcical. The parking and directions for the exits are chaotic at best. If you like queuing to exit, then this is your place. Top tip, if it's raining, park on the top deck. There's so much water cascading through the gaps in the car park you get drenched if you park underneath thinking you'll be drier, you won't.For some unknown reason, there's no covered walkway, so if it's raining, you will get wet walking between the shops.I find Castlepoint functional, but not enjoyable to visit, it's just totally soulless, with no character. It's not a patch on West Quay for instance. For the time it takes me to get out of the car park and onto the Spur Road I can get back from Southampton. The road network at Castlepoint is wholly inadequate.
It's a mess at the moment as they're still repairing the underground car park. Still good for shopping however as you can clearly see all the stores from outside. Good for those who like to wear the pace watch.
