An intriguing place. Lots in there. Lots of art....! And lovely views. You can easily lose a couple of hours in there, without being bored. Friendly staff too. An enjoyable visit, certainly worth the entry fee.
Love the house, especially the dining and reception rooms. Not keen on the Council's 1990's addition which looks TN worse condition than the original house. I hope donations will cover the cost of repairing the delightful conservatory. Very pleased to see the "ladies" room with attractive pineapple wallpaper. Wish there were less rigid exhibitions and more family type touches upstairs. Great to have an exhibition space in the early twentieth century galleries. The greatest part is the outstanding view and garden. The introductory film is well made and interesting, the staff very helpful and the caf is well- run.
Excellent way to spend some time. 90 minutes flew by so load up your parking time. Amazing exhibits everywhere. Lovely refreshments area and super views. Charming garden area.
Fantastic museum and gallery, the house is a beautiful mix of styles with amazing paintings and artefacts. Its worth a visit any time of the year, can get a little busy doing the summer months but just as interesting during the winter. Before they close up for the year in December there final weekend hosts Christmas themed access to the house/gallery- well worth a visit
Brilliant museum, we caught the end of a tour that was going around, the tour guide brought everything to life and explained it in detail, it was very interesting. Next time we are in Bournemouth I will make sure we book onto a tour, which sadly are only once a day. There is so much to see in the museum, it really is worth spending the whole day there and looking around the gardens as well.
