Delightful walk even in winter. The squirrels were out playing. A lovely green space, probably not changed much since my first visit 60 years ago.
Even though it's January it is still delightful to walk through these gardens. It's a shame none of the coffee 'shops' were open. These gardens are well looked after and are a credit to Bournemouth Council.
I visited Bournemouth with friends in summertime, for me it was the first time in the town. After a beach walk we had a nice very long walk in this garden, combined with the upper garden, one side up, other side back. Nice and quiet, how it goes a bit inner to the town, and still peaceful. Lovely flowers around, but otherwise just a very few to see (I mean statue or historic buildings, a kind of monument). Also, teenagers prefer to use the more hidden places for their own joy, whatever it could be...So hard to find a plot to enjoy the peace. But nice walk if someone visits the town and want to escape from the crowd.
Lovely park area which offers something all year round. Public toilets. Lots of seating. Crazy golf. Good stalls. Aviary. Bandstand. Beautiful flowers in the summer. Fabulous Christmas lights
WELL DONE Bournemouth Council!! It was wonderful spending the build up to Xmas in Bournemouth Gardens!! The trees were beautiful, the stalls were great selling nice food! Everyone having fun on the ice rink !,all a good night out !!!
